Strong-Ty® High-Purity cable ties are available in natural unpigmented Kynar® PVDF. These cable ties are ideal for hose connections on 2D and 3D bioprocessing bags. Material properties of PVDF allow the sterilization of Strong-Ty® PVDF cable ties by radiation, chemical or autoclave methods without loss of strength or flexibility. Designed with a flexible internal hinge and a tapered tip, Strong-Ty® cable ties are easy to use and provide consistent and reliable performance. They can be fastened by hand or with any common tensioning tool. Each injection-molded cable tie is individually identified so any performance variation can be tracked and corrected. Strong-Ty® cable ties are injection molded and double-bagged in a cleanroom environment following ISO 13485 procedures.
Because Strong-Ty® cable ties are made from Kynar® PVDF they are ideal for severe environments where combinations of high temperature, corrosion, UV radiation and mechanical stresses lead to rapid failure of commodity plastics such as polyamide (nylon), polyethylene or polypropylene. Unlike these common plastics, Kynar® PVDF will not ignite and burn in normal atmospheric conditions and does not generate smoke. These excellent material properties translate into confidence with Strong-Ty® cable ties for any closure application.
From the base resin to the final injection molded products, Strong-Ty® cable ties are 100% manufactured in the United States. Because they are made from pure original material, lot traceability is easily maintaned as is overall tie quality. No regrind, no contaminants, no additives and no stabilizers means no failures and no headaches. Strong-Ty® High-Purity cable ties are available in natural unpigmented Kynar® PVDF. Strong-Ty® High-Purity – manufactured and packaged inside a cleanroom according to ISO 13485:2016 procedure and designed for use in biopharma and semiconductor environments and in the production of high-purity chemicals. These cable ties have also passed ISO 10993-5:2009 Cytotoxicity Testing. In order to maintain product traceability, these ties are made from 100% pure virgin Kynar® PVDF and contain no regrind or recycled materials.
