Fluorinar™ 3D print filaments are made from Kynar® PVDF and represent a great choice for applications that require excellent chemical resistance, a high degree of purity and superior mechanical properties. The data below shows PVDF chemical compatibility for both our homopolymer and copolymer 3D printing filaments. Please be aware of the following:
- Test chemicals are pure substances unless otherwise indicated.
- Temperatures in °F and °C have been rounded to 5-degree increments.
- The temperatures listed are maximum values and do not take into account pressures, vacuums, mixtures, or close tolerances.
- NR indicates that the Fluorinar™ PVDF filament is not recommended for long-term use with the chemical at room temperature or at the temperature indicated.

R – Resistant
LR – Limited Resistance
NR – Not Recommended
ND – No Data
This data represents our best knowledge. However, it is your responsibility to evaluate and fully test the suitability of our filaments for your specific application. A great way to begin would be to first print an ASTM D-638 tensile test specimen (also known as a dog bone) and expose this to your specific chemical application. Look for changes in the weight and mechanical properties after 30 days. These results will produce more understanding of the corrosion resistance of our filaments in your specific application. Our PVDF materials are an excellent choice for a chemical-resistant filament that can produce great 3D print results on even low-cost FDM machines.
