Single-Use Mixer: key component in pharmaceutical manufacturing
Disposable bag technology is important in minimizing cost and contamination in biopharm production. When mixing is required, Purisan™ Kynar® PVDF single-use mixers can be incorporated directly into the bag prior to gamma sterilization. The Kynar® PVDF prop is injection molded and threads onto a Kynar® PVDF coated shaft. The final mixer is cleaned, assembled and packaged in a clean room following ISO 13485 certified procedure.
Kynar® PVDF meets USP Class VI requirements and is manufactured in the US by Arkema without contaminants, additives or stabilizers. Because only Kynar® PVDF is used on all wetted surfaces, no contaminants such as pigments, stabilizers, processing aids and plasticizers will transfer into your product. The result is the purest mixer available in the market ready to meet your cleanest requirements.
Nile Polymers continues to increase the Purisan™ product line. Single-use Purisan™ mixers currently available: 4.0″, 5.0″ and 6.0″ diameter three-blade props and 0.75″, 1.00″ and 1.25″ diameter shafts up to 72″ in length. Purisan™ mixers coming in 2017: 2.0″, 2.5″, 3.0″ and 3.5″ diameter three-blade props on 0.5″ diameter shafts up to 48″ in length.
